Project details:
The project is about our nature.Pupils will take photos from the nature around them.Every picture should be taken by the pupils.Then pupils will tell about their pictures by using videos,ppt shows,skype,etc. Shall we rediscover the environment around us?
• Subjects: Art, Cross Curricular, Drama, Environmental Education, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, History of Culture, Natural Sciences, Primary School Subjects, Technology
• Languages: EN
• Pupil's age: 9 - 11
• Tools to be used: Audio conference, Chat, e-mail, Forum, MP3, Other software (Powerpoint, video, pictures and drawings), Project Diary, Twinspace, Video conference, Virtual learning environment (communities, virtual classes, ...), Web publishing
• Aims: By the way pupils can notice what kind of environment their peers have and rediscover their own environmental values,so they will see the world from a different perspective.Besides they will use the language for real communication.
• Work process: Every partners will work on one photo per week. Firstly pupils take several photos from the environment around them. Then they will choose only one of them by voting to use. After choosing,pupils will make groups. Some of them will write about it,some of them will prepare a video about it and so on. At the end of the week all the partners will share their work on twinspace.
Expected results: At the end of the project pupils will find out how the language is being used for real communication and all the partners will have the chance to produce their own "nature book"(simplified)by combining the pictures that had been used in the project process.
